Continuing with our SampleSimple Alesis ProTrack Review Series, we were eager to get our fingers dusty, so for Day 2 we dug up and brought out some raw crackling-snapping vinyl from Still Born‘s record collection.

Mission : Simply record and sample a vinyl record turntable into the iPod using the ProTrack.

To accomplish this, we also utilized the BIAS iPro Recorder app [more info here]

We connected the RCA Outputs from turntable into the ProTrack’s Left and Right 1/4″ Input jacks using a standard Female RCA TO Female 1/4″ Cable.

Mission Accomplished!

We successfully recorded and sampled audio playing from the vinyl record turntable into the iPod using the BIAS iPro Recorder app + the simple yet powerful Alesis ProTrack.

it was that simple!

Today we have stretched the limits of the recording and sampling possibilities that the Apple iPod technology platform offers for Music Producers, Recording Artists and Audio Techies.

Specifically, sample-based Music Producers will have the ability to record and sample in a true mobile music production environment and delve into a world of virtually unlimited possibilities, all while enjoying a classic and familiar style of Music Production Sampling.
