Intua has released and update to Beatmaker today, and answered one of my wishes that should have been on my Beatmaker Wishlist. That being keyboard style composition. You can now select a pad with a sound you would like to tune up and down across the 16 pads, select Mode, hit the down arrow and select tune. Immediately that pad you selected will be on all 16 pads allowing you to play melodies. While still in this mode, start recording and you can play your melody in and hear it back. Very good feature to have because tuning up and down in the step sequencer before was no fun, but necessary because of the importance of the feature. They have made it Simpler.
Also, they are implementing a cut and paste function so audio could be pasted into the Beatmaker program. We will have to wait and see what this really means, because it replaced the ability to access other sound folders in Beatmaker, such as Noise io. If you made a sound and saved it in Noise io, you would then be able to access that sound in Beatmaker….that is no longer the case. Once this feature is properly implemented, I will write a new post on it.
