Image-Line’s FL Studio Guru Series presents a simple tutorial demonstrating how to sample your VST instruments into FL Studio DirectWave. The VST version of DirectWave is the only version that supports audio recording so be sure that DirectWave VST is running to accomplish this task. Here is a special sneak peak at SynthStation, Akai Pro’s new synthesizer for iPhone and iPod Touch. Although it is an iPhone app, SynthStation works on the iPad too, which is shown in this video. When do you think AKAI will give us the MPC on the iPad? Patiently waiting…

SB gave me a heads up about an insane price drop from Intua for the BeatMaker app. They’ve slashed the price in half (now $9.99) for new BeatMaker’s who haven’t yet had the chance to try out this amazing mobile music creation tool (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad). Go grab it here and start making beats on the road!

- Then I watched a CNN special about the iPad.
- Then I viewed the SampleSimple web-stats and saw someone had searched “Beatmaker iPad” so I began my normal research activities and soon found this:

Introducing Mixr. A new DJ App for the Apple iPad.
“…Feels & functions like authentic turntables. Mixr gives you a DJ experience unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. Beautiful interface, professional mixing.”
Sampletoy is a radical new musical instrument/plaything developed By Marek Bereza. It’s a part sampler + gran-synth. You can quickly capture and record sounds through the microphone, then playback, loop and alter them live on your screen!
